I successfully went through the installation process, but whenever I try to boot, it boots into grub where it has the option to select "Steam OS", which I select. But then it takes me to a screen and just says

Booting to 'SteamOS'

Loading Linux linux-neptune-dri ...
Loading initial ramdisk ...
__

But then it just sits there and does not do anything. No input is possible
I am running an i9-9900K and an RTX 2070S in a desktop

Any suggestions?

Having this same issue, tried waiting over 20 minutes and no difference. I’m using an SSD, what could be causing this issue?

Intel + Nvidia is technically unsupported hardware so mileage may vary to begin with and secondly with the new update even AMD stuff is having issues

the original install you did. was that with the neptune kernal or with the holosiso kernel? I had to use holoiso because that was the only way my ethernet and wifi were supported and i could get connections to work for updates. however, the defaul kernal is neptune. so if during the installation process you miss the boot screen and dont change it to holo. and you start mixing holo and neptune installation runs i noticed things grind to a strange halt. I'm wondering if that happened to you.

if anyone knows how to disable the neptune kernel that would be amazing. i cant find any instructions on it on google. i dont even know why it is included in a holoiso installation package...
