The Walking Dead Definitive Edition - Compatibility question

Hi all, has anyone experience of playing the telltale Definitive Edition on steam deck?

The Telltale series is on sale at the moment and I'm very much going to buy, but I'm unsure whether to get the Definitive Edition, which costs less but is untested on Deck (at least officially). The original versions of the games are all verified or playable, but will cost a bit more.

ProtonDB has one report for the Definitive Edition, and it's not positive.

Wondering if anyone here has first-hand experience of the DE?

I played through all of it up to the final season shortly before the whole telltale shit storm all falling to bits and Skybound taking over for the final season. Michonne's tale was really good, I think I mentally needed a break from the main story and it was a good little distraction!

Awesome. I'm excited to finally get to it. If you still haven't played the final season, I highly recommend it. I'm so glad that they were able to finish it.

I had it in my head I'd played all of them on Playstation but now I'm not so sure. I'm going to wait until it's on sale on Steam and go through them all again on the Steamdeck I reckon!

The Definitive Edition is now listed as Verified. I just picked it up, so I’m starting another play through of this series. Got some frame drops at native resolution with high settings, but playing at 540p with FSR is a solid 60FPS and looks just as good.

Nice! I'll be looking to check it out. I'm trying to stop myself from buying games in anticipation... Haha
