Since the first of us get to call a Deck our own later this week, I thought it would be a good idea to open a thread where those who don't have a Deck yet can post specific questions or tasks that Deck owners can answer, test, verify or show.
Of course it's a good idea to try any search engine beforehand and see if the topic hasn't been covered 100 times already, but I think there are a lot of helpful users around here and if you have questions, feel free to ask anything

If it is not a headache to someone, I'd like yo see all the options that has the BIOS (maybe a quick video navigating through them).
Since I intend to dualboot Linux from the SSD and Windows from the microSD I'd say that's my fist concern.
Plus all the tweaking Valve will let us do.

I'm curious about partitions.
I do use a lot lvm for snapshot my volumes before updates, just in case something goes wrong.

Just did another fresh install. So this is out of the box + all recent updates.

And Kupfer, don't worry. Everything is ok.

It freaks me out that duplicated partitions :

Don't know if those are there for some sneaky backup while it updates or prepared for a future wich they may need to increase the partition size.

Anyhow, come on, somebody yell about they're stealing you 5GB. Go on...
In a 64GB may be substantial, tough.

Well, that is usefull to me.
Now I have to check if the SteamOS "installer" let you choose where to mount every folder.
Maybe a prepartitioned disk with lvm...
Performance is not noticeable at all, and as a (snapshot) backup it is way way better than actually backuping everything before knowing if you're gonna need to restore it.
