Remapping of the "Steam" Button?

So, for context, I'm looking at potentially installing this on a AyaNeo Air in the future, but some of the videos I've seen talking about it mentioned things like you can't use the "Steam" Button, since such a button doesn't exist on these devices.

So, and I guess this is less a HoloISO question and more just a SteamOS question, but can you remap such System buttons?

I guess it could be possible, since it's software after all, I just haven't seen a "mod" like this in the wild yet though.
