Moving games works only in one direction

Moin,

I just noticed that moving Steam games from the internal SSD to a mirco SD card via the Steam function for this purpose works smoothly at 65mb/s, however the other way around I get an error message once the progress bar reaches 5.6gb after 95 seconds (~58mb/s).

I ran the KDISKMARK through the internal SSD

as well as the mirco SD card

with the profile "REAL" and so far everything actually looks ok - I think.

The micro SD card is a 512gb Samsung EVO Plus (XC, UHS-I, U3, A2, V30).

So installing a game on the SSD and moving it to the micro SD card works, installing a game on the micro SD card and moving it to the SSD doesn't.

Does anyone have an idea what is wrong here?

After doing a quick google search, I came to the conclusion the error "content file locked" is related to steam being unable to write to the SSD. Although, the only solutions there are for windows like "run steam.exe as admin"

Yep, found some Windows solutions as well.

As for now, I contacted the steam support (again).
But never the less, I found this thread after some digging, which explains the exact same problem.
Seems like Valve knows about it but doesn't have a solution for now.

Valve:
Hello.

Thank you for contacting the Steam support.

Please try the to perform the same actions on a different microSD card if possible and check if the same problem occurs.

Let us know the result.
Me:
Thanks for your reply.

I just tried another mircoSD card with the exact same results.

I can move content from the internal SSD to the microSD card, but not from the microSD card to the internal SSD.

Made a step-by-step collage what I did exactly.
Valve:
Hello,

Thanks so much for your patience. We have a workaround that may serve as a stopgap for the time being.

At your earliest convenience, please toggle to Desktop mode and manually transfer the game to any external. When attempting to install, make sure to install in the game folder and the steam client will verify and install game files without having to do a new download.

Please let us know if this does not work as an interim solution.

Not really satisfactory. I mean, I'd rather delete the game and reinstall it on the SSD.
