Lego Hobbit resolution issues

I was trying to play Lego Hobbit but there is some kind of issue where there is a thick border that it does not want to lose. I have tried forcing resolution in settings since the regular settings were not working, but there is not much of an improvement. Maybe half an inch of difference. Any ideas on how to solve this?

I had the same issue - screen resolution 1280x800 and aspect ratio of 16:10 in the game video settings seems to have sorted it for me
