Is it possible to set the charge and discharge limit under Linux?

I have a question for the Linux connoisseurs here in the forum. Is it possible to set a battery powered device to stop charging when it reaches 80% and only discharge to 20%? In other words, is it possible to use the deck "at the push of a button" only between 20% and 80% to reduce battery wear out?

Suppose I'm at home playing on the sofa, plug in the charger so I don't have to worry about runtime, and the battery reaches 80%. At that moment, it would be great to have the power bypass the battery and run the deck from the charger only. In the discharging state, the deck should then give a message at 20%, whether you want to continue playing or go into sleep mode.

Maybe someone has experience with other devices where you can set up something like this under Linux.

That's a great question.

In most of the laptops that I've had on my service desk, the EC chip ;) actually controlled this behavior. The limit on Dells is 50% - 75%(I'm sure about the 50 not so much about the 75 right now), but it's still good to have that kind of functionality.

This would actually be really great! I’m sure there’s an app for Linux you can get if it’s not something that comes with the deck.
