Getting ready for my deck

So I got a free hdmi lead for my deck it's a 10 meter lead allowing me to set it up in a good place to pick up WiFi and still have my TV on my far bedroom wall I also got some wire clips too so it's not messy

Just need a dock and a controller now thinking rather than my ps4 pad I'll buy a steam controller as I enjoyed that when I last had a pc

Honestly more hyped for the deck than any hardware for a long time

I mean look at ps5 and Xbox series x they are mere updates to Xbox one x and ps4 and run barely any new software it's more about slight improvements


The deck is something we could only dream of before an affordable portable pc with great form factor and console like controlls with big pictur mode overlay as standard and a fantastic looking steam os desktop mode

I honestly think Linux could be the future for me because I've had enough of windows vista was shit and 7/8 were okish and 10/11 was an improvement but I feel windows is an outdated os these days

I think consoles that run pc games and have an inbuilt desktop is could be the future I would be shocked if the next Xbox didn't just run full windows and perhaps the next playstation could run full Linux and have a ps vita on steroids look but that's if the deck isn't the portable to end all others I mean look at the other handheld pcs overpriced and windows installed no thanks

I can't remember the last time I sat in front of my PC and had as much fun with gaming as I have had the last few months with the Deck. The Deck makes it so easy to just jump into a game and play a little bit. When I think about my dual monitor setup with all the peripherals, I feel like I've been beaten to death again, and I'm just enjoying my little after-work session on the sofa.

Yep, that's why I love console gaming. PC gaming got too exhaustive at some point for me.
Steam Deck combines both worlds in a beautiful way.

well, I sort of get your point, on one side, it's immersive, on the other, it brings out the lazy in you...
also it will cost you too.

Knowing my luck the I'll be working 50 hours a week if we're in another lockdown due to deep cleans every hour on the hour and I'd have door supervisor duties due to limited store compasity heck I even work on my days off because the customers see me in my own clothes and say oh hey have you got this item? Are you not serving? Either that or I'm telling a college where to find a customers paper or ciggerettes

I just hope they don't want me to train to be a team leader as one just left and we aren't allowed to hire for a few months haha
