Fast time lapse of a Steam deck that fell in the bath, and was treated in 99% alcohol. It survived.

so a redditor drops his steam deck in the bath, horror right?
Must've been playing Subnautica. 🤣

but anyway, after asking around on Reddit, and disassembling and treating his poor steam deck, it came back to life with minimal evidence and signs of surgery. 😁

I'm not surprised that you were able to turn it on, but water is like electronics cancer, and there's really no telling what to expect going forward.
We’ll see. I took it down to the last screw and thoroughly washed in 99% alcohol and component cleaner (that I recently bought and used to fix my joystick drift)… it might end up dying but I feel pretty good about it

now we probably know what to do if we'd drop the steam deck in the bath šŸ¤£šŸ˜‰
