I have a dell optiplex 3020 sff with a radeon r7 250. The problem im facing here is that when i install it everything is fine yea, its only when i goto boot is when i have issues though. It simply sees nothing at all like it was never installed at all, regular arch and windows install and work just fine but holeISO dosent at all. If needed i can provide screenshots or a video from whats going on though, just lmk which is needed to diagnose this issue. Im really hoping for the future on this one!

Any luck? I’m in the same boat, just tried and it can’t find my boot device…

Woah, hey... this is slightly off-topic, but this is a great coincidence, a neighbor of mine was planning to buy a second hand of this unit at around ~$130 at our currency, The dell optiplex 3020 sff, but with an i5 4th gen. Do you think the price is good? 😅

I might be able to use HoleISO too if he buys it. 😁 that of course, is if you manage to get it working somehow @CalebOWolf

The current model i have has a Core i5 2500 and i just put in an RX6400. This is going to great for emulation up to PS3 at 1080p and medium gaming at 1080/1440. I think price per performance it is worth it.
I’ll have to give it a another go, i’ve tried a different version of the ISO, won’t be a couple of days I can get back to testing but if it’s works i’ll let you know.

Hey there, I'm just curious. Since this PC is an SFF, graphic cards fit in there right? Maybe I could also get myself one as a dedicated gaming machine since there are a bunch of 2nd hand ones available here.

I have learned through much research and helpful insight by other users that my issue is the age of my hardware. The core I5 2500 does not support the EUFI system needed to load the boot file. I’m looking into alternative distros until Steam officially release the OS.
If you do buy an optiplex, make sure the intel cpu was built after Zen 2.

hey, thanks for the reply, that sure was helpful. 😀
also good to know, from your earlier comment that slapping a good GPU in there can make this a good enough emulator gaming machine. 🎮

hey there, just an update, my buddy went ahead and bought the Dell optiplex 3020 SFF, and it was lucky they had an i5-4th gen available for the CPU bundle they were offering...

I can confirm that this thing can and is now running UEFI. with a 120GB SSD. we just probably need to see if the iGPU can run this thing.

I was wondering if these cards that were newly released would be a good fit for the mini PC too, as it's the same model, but it's technically a new batch by AMD after all. and it's relatively cheap for mid end gaming.
