Connectivity setup on arrival?

Hi would anybody know if the steam deck will have data capabilities to truly take it on the go or will it be standard wifi only. ive searched several forums and valves website but cant find an answer.

It's wifi only. But you can always create a hotspot on your phone and share the internet.

According to the official tech specs :

• Bluetooth 5.0 (support for controllers, accessories and audio)
• Dual-band Wi-Fi radio, 2.4GHz and 5GHz, 2 x 2 MIMO, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac

With the dock, you will have additional access to an ethernetport, but that's probably not "truly take it on the go"'esque.

Luckily most online games don't take a ton of bandwidth as long as you already have them downloaded. Its typically anywhere from 30mb-150mb an hour depending on the game.
