Hell all,

can anyone recommend an adaptor that will allow me to connect an Ethernet cable to the Deck so I may speed up game installation?

Thanks!

I guess the issue with that is while your download speed might be faster, it's only going to download for as long as the battery lasts.

Yup, was going to suggest something like these as I've seen them posted online before. 😉

I guess you could add a powerbank? or is the deck also usable with direct power like a laptop? 🤔💻

You can, but there is only one port on the deck (usb-c) so if that is taken up with your ethernet, there's no way to get passthrough power.

This is why the usb-c hubs are the way to go, as they allow pass through power to the deck, extra ports for peripherals, hdmi to connect to a tv/monitor, and ethernet.

Some photos of my desktop set-up and homemade dock - the mess of wires are hidden behind the deck and the shelves when in use, so it looks pretty neat.

Edit: And yes, I need to dust my desk 😬

I see, so it's basically one big funnel into that one port... oh boy, I wonder if they should add more ports to that design just in case... 🤔
but if that port breaks, it's probably repairable through ifixit now anyway. 😁

also, nice deck setup you got there.

I was gonna ask if you 3D printed that "homemade dock" but I took a closer look, and it's one of those USB-C hubs with a stand attached to it lol.
Genius. 😉😆

may I ask what kind of USB-C hub that is specifically?
